Step 5. Create a sense of urgency

Using action words that evoke a sense of urgency for your offer will create higher motivation for visitors to take an action. Many studies have proven that ads using a timer or urgency phrases such as “act now before it’s too late” increases eCommerce conversion rates better than an offer that doesn’t have a timeframe. Step 6. Curiosity killed the cat (but got the conversion)

People are often motivated by curiosity; it’s hard to resist entering your email address to see what’s behind the curtain. Using a reveal in your ad can help boost conversion rates. Be creative! There are so many ways to structure this type of ad, make it interesting and fun!

Step 7. Be a social butterfly

Social presence is something you work hard to achieve, so show it off! Showcasing your social presence on ads will allow you to eCommerce conversion rates because visitors are more likely to trust you if they see that others already  have. If you appear in social media posts, third party ratings, or news articles, including these sources in your display ads can improve trust, which ultimately results in higher conversions.

Step 8. Animation is gold

The goal of an ad is to be engaging and interesting enough that website visitors will stop, read, and then convert. Create pop-ups with animated text, a flash of light across a button, or dynamic transitions. Of course, be careful not to be too obnoxious. A key to increasing your conversion rate is to walk the line between annoying and engaging. Animation is no exception to that rule, but when done correctly, it works extraordinary well!
